Semicon, the telecoms marketing leader in the country, now offers personal Wi-Fi plans under the Airborne Access network.
Wi-Fi, or wireless fidelity, has continued to attract new users while spurring increased usage from regular customers. With Wi-Fi plans now available in select Semicon outlets in various parts of the country, users now have more options of where to purchase their prepaid or unlimited access plan.
Airborne Wi-Fi comes in two forms: Wingspan Wireless Prepaid Internet cards or Horizon Unlimited Access Plans.
Wingspan is the quickest way to get on the Airborne Access network. Its a pay-as-you-go service that lets users experience high-speed wireless Internet in all Airborne Access hot spots around the country. Each card has a value of P100 for 60 minutes of broadband Wi-Fi access.
Horizon is a Wi-Fi product that comes with unlimited, unmetered and reloadable service plans for frequent Wi-Fi users. It is available as a self-install Starter Pack for one-, six- or 12-month plans, and as reloadable packs that allow users to extend their Wi-Fi access for one, six or 12 months.
The advantage of using Horizon is that the user can select the service plan that he wants after each subscription period has expired. For example, the user can start with a Horizon Standard six-month plan and after the prescribed period, he can reactivate his account via Reload on a monthly or yearly basis.
The Semicon branches that carry Horizon are Festival Mall, SM Southmall, Power Plant Mall, SM Megamall, The Podium, SM City Manila, CyberOne Mall in Eastwood and SM City North Edsa.
It is also available in the lone Semicon outlet in Baguio City, at the Porta Vaga Commercial building, and at SM Cebu.
Airborne Access is the countrys leading Wi-Fi operator with close to 100 hot spots located all over Metro Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Boracay.
