St. Luke's opens HMO Concierge

-

MANILA, Philippines - St. Luke’s Medical Center–Global City (SLMC-GC) recently inaugurated the first and only hospital-owned and operated HMO Concierge in the country.

The inauguration coincided with the 21st annual convention of the Association of Health Maintenance Organizations of the Philippines (AHMOPI) held at the Henry Sy Sr. Auditorium at SLMC-GC.

The HMO Concierge is an innovation in customer service that allows health card holders to experience blue-chip privileges that expedite and ease the process of their medical availments. It is located at the ground floor of the Nursing Tower of SLMC-GC.

HMO members and providers will benefit from the services offered by the concierge commonly extended to VIPs. The members are treated as first-class patients and are assisted with privileged care from the moment they arrive and give their health cards to the HMO Concierge specialists.

Aiming for speed of delivery, the HMO Concierge provides clear and concise directions to patients to help them while at the hospital premises. There is significant time reduction from the process of verification of coverage of possible medical availment to securing appointments for lab exams.

The members can also freely ask how they can spend and save on their medical expenses. It is the patient’s basic right to view the rooms and amenities and the HMO specialists will guide them.

Established to help the HMOs respond better and faster to the needs of their members with the goal of providing uninterrupted service delivery, the HMO Concierge works closely with the coordinators of the various health maintenance organizations and clinics at the Medical Arts building. It links the providers to the different divisions of the hospital.

More than a business center, it also doubles up as a place where HMO liaison officers (LOs) and patient relations officers (PROs) can de-stress and be more effective in their service delivery.

SLMC-GC is the first hospital in the country that displays the AHMOPI marker bearing the logos of HMO companies that have access to the facility. These are Blue Cross, Cocolife, Fortune Care, HMI, HPPI, Intellicare, Insular Health Care, Maxicare, Medicard, Medocare, Philcare, and Value Care.
