MANILA, Philippines — Homegrown restaurant Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken and Sauce Bar, known for its flavorful charcoal-grilled chicken and signature sauces, is pursuing an aggressive expansion program to cater to its ever-growing market.

Bryan Tiu, president and chief executive officer of iFoods Inc., said the company is looking at opening 12 more stores until next year to accommodate the strong demand.

Tiu said two more branches would be opened this year and another 10 next year as there is a need to expand the “distinctively Peri-Peri dining experience.”

The restaurant chain is set to open at Ayala Feliz, Marikina; SM Marikina; Okada Manila; Robinsons Manila; Brittany Square, Fairview; Robinsons Magnolia and Resorts World Manila, among others.

Tiu said the company has 17 branches in and outside Metro Manila.

The company is also set to relocate its first international branch in Myanmar.

Tiu said the company is receiving numerous offers to put up branches in other countries.

“There are inquiries from other countries but the management is still studying the offers,” he said.

As the purveyor of the spitfire-grilled chicken experience, Peri-Peri is likewise set to amaze more taste buds as it introduces new items to its already vibrant menu.

More than 40 new dishes were added to their menu, spicing up and bringing in more flavors from South America. While the dishes are inspired by international culture, they are localized to appeal to the Filipino taste.

The restaurant also aims to gain greater traction by choosing celebrity Enchong Dee to be the face of Peri-Peri.

Peri Peri Charcoal Chicken and Sauce Bar has branches in Evia Lifestyle Center in Las Piñas, Mc Kinley Venice Piazza, Uptown Mall BGC, Greenbelt 3, Eastwood Mall, Capitol Commons, Megamall B, Promenade Greenhills, Gateway Araneta Center, UP Town Center, Trinoma Mall, and Alabang Town Center.

Provincial branches are located in Nuvali Solenad 3, Ayala Marquee Mall, SM City Bacolod, and Meerea High Street Mandaue Cebu.
