A historic business conference

The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the largest business organization in the country, recently held its 36th Philippine Business Conference and Expo (PBC&E) at the Manila Hotel. With the theme, “One Global Filipino, Creating Synergy for Competitiveness,” the successful conference was spearheaded by PBC&E chairman Benjamin Philip Romualdez and PCCI president Francis Chua. Guest of honor and keynote speaker President Benigno Aquino III addressed the business community on “Transparency and Accountability: The Governance Agenda in Enhancing the Philippines’ Competitiveness as Investment Destination” while keynote speakers Vice President Jejomar Binay and Qatar Telecom chairman Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al Thani talked about “Synergy for Competitiveness,” and “Capturing the Global Market, Enhancing Competitiveness”. The 36th PBC&E also served as a platform in leveraging the business response to the President’s 100-day agenda which was complemented by PCCI’s business and economic agenda. Highlighting the convention was the elegant gala night attended by honorable ambassadors and consuls as well as prominent figures in the business, government and social circles. A fascinating Spanish lifestyle

Inc. recently held Viva Espana! - a commemoration of Spanish heritage and tradition shared with the Philippines. A grand launch and a captivating fashion show kicked off the 10-day celebration which showcased various products from Spain including apparel, food, and other luxury labels. Leading the ceremony were honorable Spanish Ambassador to the Philippines His Excellency Luis Arias and Rustan’s executive vice president Anton Huang, among many others. Congratulations!
