SSS reactivates salary loan filing via mobile app
MANILA, Philippines — State-run Social Security System (SSS) is once again allowing members to apply for salary loans through its mobile application.
In a statement, the SSS said the online salary loan application process was re-enabled after a new version of the state fund’s mobile application was released last week.
The new version of the app also added a new feature allowing members to download the disclosure statements of their salary loan.
Launched in 2018, the SSS mobile app is designed to provide a more convenient way for members to transact with SSS without queuing in its branches.
Other services that may be accessed through the SSS mobile app include the viewing of member’s information, contribution breakdown, benefit claims information and loan status, among others.
The app also enables members to update their information, submit maternity notifications, generate payment reference numbers, and pay contributions online.
The SSS earlier disclosed that the SSS mobile app facilitated nearly 22.4 million transactions for its members in the first half of 2020.
