Cebu Pacific cancels more flights until May 10
MANILA, Philippines — Budget airlines Cebu Pacific and Cebgo have cancelled more flights in May as part of their effort to “improve on time performance and reduce inconvenience to our passengers.”
A total of 58 roundtrip flights will be canceled until May 10, 2019.
Cebu Pacific made the announcement Monday night, a day after it canceled dozens of flights from April 28 to 30.
“We are doing this because we have seen an unprecedented level of disruption to our operations and our passengers are experiencing extended delays and some on-the-spot cancellations,” Cebu Pacific said.
It added: “To create space in our schedule for operational recovery, minimize rolling delays and give passengers the chance to make alternate travel plans, we have to temporarily reduce the number of our flights given the current operating conditions, particularly in our Manila hub.”
The airline apologized for the inconvenience the flight cancellations have caused its passengers.
