Peso declines on Wednesday

MANILA, Philippines - The peso sunk against the dollar on Wednesday, closing at 45.07 from the previous day's 44.965.

Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $641.8 million, higher than the $322 million posted on Tuesday.

The peso opened Wednesday at $45.
