CSR award for global business power

MANILA, Philippines -  The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) awarded Global Business Power Corp. (GBP) for its fervent commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) citing GBP’s “unwavering support, partnership, and invaluable contribution” to the chamber’s various CSR-related advocacies and programs. Delivering more than just light, GBP is committed to make a difference in the community where it operates through its regular CSR programs in the areas of health, environment and education, as well as through immediate response to disasters and calamities. GBP vice president Crispin Lamayan (right) received the award from Cebu Chamber’s outgoing president Lito Maderazo (center) and 2014 president Ma. Teresa Chan during the CCCI General Membership Meeting and Turnover Ceremonies at the City Sports Club Cebu. GBP is one of the leading independent power generators in the Visayas region with power plants in Cebu, Iloilo, Aklan and Oriental Mindoro. It is a member of the Metrobank Group of Companies.
