Global-Link announces line-up of events for March 2014

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Local exhibition industry pioneer Global-Link MP Events International, Inc. is all set for a busy time as their team gears up for not one, but seven events all held in a span of four weeks.

First up is the much awaited Philippine International Furniture Show (PIFS), a prestigious gathering that fuses artisan creativity with contemporary styling and design. Organized through the alliance of the Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines (National & Pampanga) and the Cebu Furniture Industries Foundation (CFIF), this is without a doubt the most important event for the furniture and design industry in the country.

“The Philippine International Furniture Show has united the regions and associations. It is now the central showcase for the national industry. It represents the entire country, promoting Filipino craftsmanship to the global market and we are excited to be organizing such a focused show that is supported by the national furniture industry, for the national furniture industry,” shared Christina Gaston, Overall PIFS Event Chairwoman. PIFS would be held from March 14 to 17 at the SMX Convention Center and would feature about 200 of the country’s top furniture designers and manufacturers.

Following PIFS is Thailand Week 2014, happening on March 20 to 23 also at the SMX Convention Center. The Department of International Trade Promotion Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government and Thai Trade Center recently appointed Global-Link to manage this business-to-business event for companies focusing on food, lifestyle, jewellery, and clothing.

The most challenging time of the month kicks in during the last week. On March 28 to 30, Global-Link’s new show Digital Technology World is set to open its doors to visitors at SMX Manila, gathering more than 150 companies offering the latest in digital printing, pro AVL, advertising, and electronics. On the 27th nd 28th, the company is partnering with the Philippine Institute of Supply Management (PISM) for Supply-Link, a two-day conference and exhibit for logistics, warehousing, purchasing, and supply management professionals. During that same weekend, they would also hold the World Entrepreneur Business Expo (WEBE) together with the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII), gathering top business leaders in one venue in celebration of the Federation’s 60th anniversary.

The company wraps up the month with two conferences: the 6th Philippine Life Insurance Congress on March 28th at the SMX Convention Center in Manila and the 16th Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology Congress happening March 30 to April 4 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu. Both conferences are expected to draw in delegates by the thousands.
