Postal ID tinatanggap ng dokumento sa pagkuha ng pasaporte

MANILA, Philippines - Tinatanggap na ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang bagong Postal Identification Card (Postal ID) bilang isa sa mga suportadong dokumento para sa aplikasyon ng pasaporte, ayon sa Office of the Consular Affairs, Passport Division.

Nagsimula ng maglabas ng bagong Postal ID ang Philippine Postal Corporation (PhlPost) sa lahat ng 260 centrally located post offices sa buong bansa.

Ipinatutupad ng DFA ang istriktong patakaran sa pagkuha ng pasaporte at nangangailangan ng balido at karapat-dapat na tanggapin na ID cards na maaaring iprisinta kapag nag-aaply ng pasaporte. Ginagawa ito pagkatapos makakuha ng appointment via online sa pamamagitan ng e-Passport services.

 “We are thankful that the Department of Foreign Affairs has included the Postal ID as one of their government accredited Identification card. PhlPost assured the  public and other government agencies of the integrity and credibility of their now improved ID system,” pahayag ni Postmaster General Josie dela Cruz.

Naglabas ang PhlPost ng bagong fake-proof Identification Card at palitan ang lumang ID na papel upang muling maibalik ang integridad at kredibilidad ng Postal ID. 

Ang bagong wallet-sized PVC plastic card ay  nag­lalaman ng digital security na pwedeng makuha sa mga post offices na may digital capture of fingerprints, photos at signatures ng ID appplicants. 

Ang presyo ng bagong Postal ID ay P370 plus 12%VAT.
