Pinakamagandang baril kikilatisin sa 18th gun show

MANILA, Philippines - Inaasahan na muling dadagsain ng libu-libong mga gun enthusiasts ang pagbubukas ng 18th Defense & Sporting Arms Show (DSAS) sa July 15, 2010 sa Mega Building B, SM Megamall, Mandalu­yong City.

Ayon kay Attorney Hector Rodriguez, pangulo ng Association of Firearms and Ammunition Dealers (AFAD), ilang mga VIPs, mga opisyal ng pama­halaan -partikular na mula sa hanay ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang kanilang naimbitahan sa 18th DSAS opening ceremonies na magsisimula alas-10 ng umaga sa Hulyo 15.

Ang tema ng gun show ngayong taon ay “Gun ownership: A lifetime responsibility”. Bukod sa mga makabagong baril at mga shooting paraphernalia ng mga pangunahing gun dealers at manufacturers, magbibigay din ng mga libreng lectures sa gun handling and safety, sports shooting at self defense ang ilang mga support groups.

Gaganapin din ang competition sa “Best Dressed Gun” at “Best Booth Display” sa limang araw na gun show. Ang competition sa “Best Dressed Gun” ay bukas sa lahat ng licensed firearms owners. Lahat ng entries para sa Pistol-Open at Pistol-Stock categories ay dapat kinumpuni ng licensed-AFAD gunsmith.

Kabilang sa mga judges sina veteran broadcasters Angelo Almonte at Noel Alamar (DZMM ABS-CBN), Rommel Cabungcal (president, Philippine Practical Shooters Association), TV news reporter Jorge Bandola (NBN-4) at Sophie de los Santos (pre­sident, Trade Show International Inc.)
