Bolinao team named to Pangasinan Hall of Fame
LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines – The Bolinao contingency garnered the Hall of Fame award as the consistent champion for five years during the awarding ceremonies of the fifth Pangasinan I Division Olympic Games.
The Bolinao athletes topped their competitors in almost all the sports events during the four-day event for elementary and high school students of Pangasinan I Division held Feb. 8-11 at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center (NRSCC).
Tito Caampued, sports official of the Bolinao delegation, said their team has been maintaining the championship plum of the Pangasinan I Olympic Games since 2007.
Caampued is optimistic they would sustain their winning streak in the forthcoming Ilocos Region Athletics Association meet set March 14-19.
Dr. Danilo Sison, assistant schools division superintendent, expressed high hopes that the Pangasinan delegation would make it to the regional athletics competition with a home court advantage, as this will also be held at the NRSCC oval.
