Doves soar past DOMC 5 in NCRAA
MANILA, Philippines — St. Francis of Assisi scored the first 16 points and went on to fashion out a 96-85 victory over De Ocampo Memorial College in the Sta. Lucia Land-NCRAA men’s basketball tournament at the TIP Manila gym recently.
Jibb Larotin drilled in three triples and finished with 23 points for the Doves, who raced to a 28-11 lead after the first 10 minutes and dominated the DOMC cagers the rest of the way.
Saint Francis led by as many as 24 at 73-49 with Lifran Madrid, Ryan Chu and Michael Cenita adding 11 points apiece.
In other results, Olivarez College and host school Technological Institute of the Philippines ripped the Philippine School of Business Administration, 78-65, and New Era College, 60-49, respectively.
Archie Sunga and Dwight Saguiguit combined for 30 points for the Sea Lions.
The hosts, on the other hand, bucked a slow start to beat the New Era side.
Meanwhile, the league will take a break for the holidays with action to resume on Jan. 9, 2018.
