CKSC, Miriam top WNC; Assumption sweeps futsal titles
MANILA, Philippines — Chiang Kai Shek College nailed a third straight juniors basketball title while Miriam College snared the midgets crown in the 48th Women’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (WNCAA) recently.
Assumption College shared the limelight by ruling both juniors and seniors divisions of the futsal event.
CKSC capped its sweep of the best-of-three finals with an 88-57 rout of De La Salle Zobel at Rizal Memorial Coliseum last weekend. La Salle College Antipolo beat San Beda College Alabang, 65-53, for third.
Miriam also swept the midgets championship against St. Paul College Pasig, 68-50. DLSZ has lorded it over the division for the past seven seasons.
Two weeks ago, Centro Escolar University bagged a seventh straight seniors plum.
