4S1M Sum team rules novice races

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Eane Jay Sobretodo, Ellijah Jirone Olayvar and Jacq Buncio dominated the 115 Novice group, completing 4S1M-Sum Racing Team’s 1-2-3 finish in the first leg of the ENEOS 2016 Motorcycle Championships at the Batangas Racing Circuit recently.

Sobretodo and Olaybar rode brilliantly to take their much deserved podium positions while Buncio raced consistently to finish a respectable third and give the team a very strong start to the season in the 115 novice class of the competitive 2-wheel racing.

The 4S1M-Sum Racing Team actually struggled in the qualifying sessions with Sobretodo reeling from some electrical issues in his race and did not finish. Olayvar tried to carry the cudgels but fell short against the hard-charging RR Espiritu.

Olayvar successfully defended his position and finished the race ahead of Espiritu, which should have awarded him third if not for a slight miscalculation. Olayvar finished the race 1 kilo underweight which ended up in a disqualification.

In the 150 Open class, bad luck continued to hound the 4S1M- Sum Racing Team as one of its top riders Herbert Lopez, who was in the lead pack fighting for first, suffered mechanical trouble and bowed out of the race.

But Sobretodo, Olayvar and Buncio redeemed themselves in the 115 Novice class, putting in an impressive overall performance to sweep the top three places.

Meanwhile, the 4S1M- Sum Racing Team gears up for a tougher outing in  the second leg of the 2016 ENEOS Motorcycle Championship set June 11-12, also at the Batangas Racing Circuit.

The 4S1M-Sum Racing is supported by 4S1M ENEOS oil, Marton batteries, MDS Helmets, FDR Tires, Panda, AST, RK, Frando Brake Systems, MP, and RK.
