Report: Pacquiao buys 10,000-sq-ft Beverly Hills mansion

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao added another sprawling real estate property to his collection after purchasing a 10,000-square-foot mansion in Beverly Hills, California.

According to Philboxing.com’s Aquiles Zonio, Pacquiao bought the property that was originally owned by rap Mogul Sean Combs, known in the industry as Puff Daddy, Diddy and P. Diddy. The rapper reportedly sold it to another individual after which the latter sold it to Roger and Gale Dauer, from whom Pacquiao acquired the property.

The Filipino icon said he originally wanted to buy the mansion as a surprise to his family.

“Behind all my success in life is my wife Jinkee. I wanted to surprise them. But this is no longer a secret. Maybe they knew it already. I could not hide it from the media. Reporters are following me wherever I go,” Pacquiao said in the Philboxing.com report.

The mansion reportedly boasts seven bedrooms and seven and half baths. It also has a wide cobblestone driveway, a swimming pool with fountain and spa, and several fire pits and patios.

Pacquiao currently owns a mansion in Forbes Park, Makati, which the boxer reportedly plans to sell. He also has a mansion in his hometown in General Santos City.

The WBO welterweight champion is in the thick of preparation for his super fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr., from which he is set to earn a career-high purse of at least $80 million.

The megabuck match is set on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
