NBA releases more tickets to Manila preseason game

MANILA, Philippines – To accommodate overwhelming demand, a limited number of additional tickets to the first-ever NBA Global Games Philippines 2013 has been made available for public purchase.

The game — featuring the Houston Rockets and the Indiana Pacers — will tip-off at the Mall of Asia Arena at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, as part of the NBA’s comprehensive Global Games schedule and will be the league’s first preseason game in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia.

The Houston Rockets feature a dynamic young roster led by NBA All-Stars and All-NBA selections Dwight Howard and James Harden, along with emerging stars Jeremy Lin and Chandler Parsons. The team has played 13 games outside of the US and Canada, including four games in China, two each in 2004 and 2010, and two regular season games in Japan in 1992. The Indiana Pacers, led by NBA All-Stars Paul George and Roy Hibbert, have played overseas twice, most recently in 2009 in Beijing and Taipei.

With two very talented teams, the match will be an exciting one for the fans in the Philippines. Below is a brief look at the key player stats from each team (from their 2012-13 NBA Season Average):
