Louis Vuitton launches 2017 Cruise collection in Cebu
For the third year in a row, Louis Vuitton (LV) came to Cebu to showcase its new creations. This year’s Cruise 2017 collection featured women’s and men’s pieces, as well as the Horizon luggage and Blossom Jewelry collection.
Prior to the opening, a two-day viewing called the “Trunk Show” was held. It was the simple, yet luxuriously designed trunks of the late 19th century which appealed to the Parisian elite and launched LV into a luxury brand and marked the beginning of the modern LV.
At the cocktail reception held at the Park Point Residence, guests admired the handbags and shoes in bright colors. The carefully selected signature pieces by a handful of Vuitton descendants and designers depict the brand’s inventiveness and elegance.
Adding fashion and flair to any outfit were the dazzling array of jewelry pieces such as rings, necklaces and pendants, bracelets and charms. Of particular interest was the Blossom Collection, which celebrates the Monogram flowers created by Georges-Louis Vuitton in 1896.
Set in yellow gold, the intricate flower blooms into a carved cornelian. Evidently months of work were necessary to perfect the stone’s delicate curves and sparkle.
Guests enjoyed free flowing Moet & Chandon and Moet Imperial Ice. They also participated in the GIF photo booth, while chilling to the music by DJ Mikhail Schemm.
