Cubu Marriott Hotel lights up its Chrsitmas tree
MANILA, Philippines — Business partners, in-house guests and Club Marriott members gathered at the Cebu Marriott Hotel to celebrate the property’s International Global Customer Appreciation night and to usher in the start of the holiday season with the traditional Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.
Talented students Chloe, Ericka and Jessica from the Brown Academy of Music under the tutelage of Cebuana songstress Anna Fegi-Brown, filled the air with the warmth of the season with their performance of The Beautiful Day made popular by balladeer Jose Mari Chan. This was followed by an a capella medley by their senior counterparts, The elite BAM Stars.
General manager Patrick Carroll, together with the executive committee, lit up the 15-foot tree decorated in classic Marriott colors of red with gold trimmings alongside a life-sized gingerbread house made with edible cookies and colorful frosting.
Guests proceeded to the Sampaguita Ballroom and partook of a hearty spread of appetizing cocktails and hors de oeuvres prepared by executive chef Chachpol Suaison and his team.
Carroll welcomed everyone and thanked them for the continued trust and loyalty to the hotel over the past 20 years. Marriott’s “Daghang Salamat” video rolled that featured the hotel’s unforgettable memories through the years.
Partners in Excellence Awards were given to business contributors, special corporate and wholesale accounts, online travel partners and top wedding suppliers.
Director of sales and events Frances Alfafara delivered a moving message to guests. She shared that even though Cebu Marriott will be closing its doors after 20 years of fruitful partnership with Ayala Hotels, the Cebu Marriott brand leaves behind a legacy of friendship, service excellence and brilliant hosting of the Cebu community and visiting guests.
Carroll closed the evening with a toast of thanks and gratitude while wishing one and all a holiday season filled with joy, happiness and good cheer.
