Belo: Going the extra smile
Operation Smile Philippines executive director Gian Trebol and country director of development Bobby Manzano with Belo Medical Group founder and medical director Dr. Vicki Belo-Kho lead the charge towards transforming the lives of children with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities.
The ever philanthropic Belo Medical Group CEO and founder Dr. Vicki Belo-Kho, in partnership with Operation Smile Philippines, held a medical mission called Belo Smiles at Sta. Ana Hospital in Sta. Ana, Manila. True to their goal of bringing back the smiles of children in disadvantaged situations, the Belo and Operation Smile teams gathered together to change the lives of so many young children born with a cleft lip, cleft palate and/or other facial deformities. Another charity event entitled Going the Extra Smile was led by MovEd founding member and Belo Medical Group managing director Cristalle Pitt. The event’s volunteers, all of whom have a heart for kids, donated school kits and Belo products to the underprivileged children of Brgy. La Huerta and Brgy. San Antonio in Parañaque City.
