From idle land to garden showcase

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Imagine setting yourself adrift around in one of the famous gardens of Florence in Italy. It’s a unique kind of courtyard where you can stroll through an earth-colored pavement that leads to a sprawling garden landscape complete with sculpted stone statues and metal arches reminiscent of the Renaissance period.

Such inspiration is brought to life at the 3,000-sqm. area of Empire East’s Mango Tree Residences.

Located in the quiet side of M. Paterno St. in San Juan City, the European-inspired garden offers clients and guests a relaxing atmosphere instead of the usual showroom or model unit.

The garden grants everyone a perfect venue for private garden functions such as wedding receptions and other intimate occasions. It is also an ideal setting for pre-nuptial video shoots and for those who are passionate in photography.

“The idea of creating a park is a marketing approach to client prospecting. In any development, the lot is usually converted into sales and model unit prior to building construction. In our case, we did not put up a hoarding, we did not build a model unit. Instead, we decided to build a mini-themed park that will give value to the land as well as attract visitors and photography enthusiasts,” says lawyer Charlie Yu, president of Empire East Land Holdings, Inc. “At the moment, we have partially completed the park and it is beginning to get recognition for our unique approach of converting an idle land into an inviting open park.”

Regarded as the Forbes of Quezon City, the street of Paterno, where the project is located, has a very idyllic feel with fully-grown mango trees and the community is composed mostly of old-rich Chinese making it a perfect place to create a themed garden.

Mango Tree Residences will exude an Asian Modern architectural feel featuring earth-toned hues, wide open spaces and wood elements. Its grand drop-off area and double-height lobbies will welcome the future residents with a five-star hotel ambiance.

The residential condominium will be composed of two towers (34-storey East Residences and 38-storey West Residences), located at the boundaries of San Juan, Quezon, and Mandaluyong Cities.

Mango Tree Residences is also accessible to prestigious schools such as Xavier School, Immaculate Conception Academy and La Salle Greenhills.

Recreational amenities include a lap pool, kiddie pool, function room, fitness gym and wellness zone at the ground level and five levels of parking. There will also be a garden deck at the seventh level. Future homeowners may choose from one-bedroom to two-bedroom suites ranging from 30 to 92 sqm. with selected units with their own exclusive patios. The project is set to be completed by end of 2019.
