Bravo, Johnnie Walker

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton -
Somebody named Johnnie graced the Tower Club recently. And nope, I’m not talking about me or even that character on Cartoon Network! I’m referring to Johnnie Walker Scotch Whiskey, the very same brand described by connoisseur Jim Murray as the "Savoy" and the "Everest." Johnnie Walker was on a limited engagement at the Baron’s Bar. Special deals on their Black Label were offered exclusively to the members of the Tower Club, the country’s premier, by-invitation-only business and social club. Johnnie Walker brand ambassadors were on hand to assist and inform guests about the promotions. The popular brand also gave additional discounts on per case orders. In fact, the Black Label appears to be the scotch of choice among the prominent members of the Tower Club!

To make the promotion even more irresistible, every table reservation with an order of a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label got preferred seating to the Baron’s Bar Friday Night Lounge Show. For three consecutive Fridays, sultry lounge singers Anne Lachica and Madeline Villamor alternately wove their magic and serenaded the Club’s members and guests, further making a night with Johnnie truly an encounter that one will never forget!

Century Park Honors Supporters
Every year the Century Park Hotel honors its top supporters to give recognition where recognition is due – and that is to the hotel’s loyal clients.

This year, Century Park’s hardworking GM Bobby C. Carpio, together with his staff composed of sales and marketing manager Lisa San Juan, PR manager Steve Naguit, food and beverage director Patrick Carabin and many others, got together and thought of a perfect theme for this year’s Top Account Party – Carribean!

The evening was a spectacular success. The stage was decked out with a Carribean backdrop, and lively, sultry salsa music was played the whole night.

Carpio and San Juan handed out the glass trophies to the various Top Account winners, including the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Pfizer, Inc., Glaxo-Smithkline, Wyeth Philippines, Bayer Phils., the League of Municipalities of the Philippines, Chamber of Customs Brokers, Inc., and Philippine Airlines. A Special Account Award went to the Philippine Diabetes Association.

To further spice up the party, a surprise award was given to the participant with the best Carribean costume – Mylene Esguerra, who won a rountrip ticket for two to Xiamen, China courtesy of China Southeastern Airlines. A host of other prizes were given out that evening, such as roundtrip tickets for two to Puerto Princesa, roundstrip tickets for two to Cebu plus a two-night stay at Plantation Bay, overnight stays at the Century Park’s deluxe and junior suites, and gift certificates for lunch or dinner at the Café in the Park or at Unkai.

In between the awarding, everyone enjoyed the spectacular and bountiful Carribean-inspired menu prepared by Chef Rudy Velasco and his team.
