Tino intensifies but now out of Philippines

MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression Tino has intensified into a tropical storm but is now outside the Philippine area of responsibility, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
As of 3 p.m. yesterday, the tropical storm was estimated 130 kilometers west northwest of Pagasa Island, Palawan.
With maximum sustained winds of up to 80 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 95 kph, it is forecast to move west at 25 kph.
PAGASA has not issued any tropical cyclone warning signal.
The regions of Bicol, Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Davao will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms because of the easterlies.
Meanwhile, the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera and Batanes will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers as a result of localized thunderstorms.
