SIGN-UP! Angat Lahat sa Digital
SIGN UP! Angat Lahat sa Digital Summit 2019 is happening on Sept. 23 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City. Anticipated as the biggest mobile app summit and expo in the Philippines to be led by the Office of the Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo, in partnership with the Angat Lahat sa Digital Alliance.

After 14 years of helping Filipino entrepreneurs turn their ideas into a reality, we at Go Negosyo are reminded of one thing: Filipino entrepreneurs may run out of capital or financing, but never out of good ideas. What entrepreneurs lack in resources, they often compensate with grit. Sometimes that works out alright. But oftentimes, those ideas remain simply ideas, never to be actualized into products and services in the real world. Not because the ideas aren’t good enough. Quite the contrary. But because very few avenues are available to share and introduce these ideas to the public.

At Go Negosyo, we believe that we can create great platforms and opportunities where these ideas can incubate and reach their targeted audiences. Once they do, these can significantly impact society in various and meaningful ways, such as generate employment, help create financially-independent citizens, and transform the lives of the poor.

In this age, deemed the Fourth Industrial Revolution, we believe that there is no other way forward but to digitalize. Brick-and-mortar businesses are now realizing the necessity — and urgency — of evolving into innovative digital enterprises. Digitalization plays a crucial role in inclusive growth and poverty alleviation through job generation and micro, small, and medium enterprises development.

This is the main thrust behind Go Negosyo’s SIGN UP! Summit on Sept. 23. SIGN UP! is designed to be the biggest mobile app summit and expo in the country which aims to gather mobile app platforms to help micro-entrepreneurs become self-earning businessman in the digital economy. SIGN-UP! also highlights the impact of platforms in achieving inclusive growth and prosperity for all.

We hope that our aspiring entrepreneurs will find compatible partners in the members of our Angat Lahat sa Digital Alliance, a group of digital platforms working within different industries and promoting digitalization among MSMEs. We hope they will find valuable insights from the various programs and strategies employed by the country’s own trailblazers in the digital industry, such as Shopee, Lazada, Grab, Angkas, Lalamove, QuadX, Mober, Cashalo, Magpie, Zennya, among others.

Already, we are excited to welcome and hear the enterprising ideas of more than 4,000 MSMEs, who will participate in the summit. Even we were surprised by the number. It only goes to show the power of online media in this day and age.

Through the  summit, we hope to engage a greater percentage of the 70 to 80 million Filipinos and have them participate in the growing digital economy. Interested participants may still register at www.signup.ph.

PA Joey Concepcion signed a year-long partnership last Sept. 2 with HP Philippines managing director, Pallasena Viswanath.

Go Negosyo also partnered with one of the country’s leading tech companies, HP Philippines, to launch projects to help start-ups embrace digitalization by equipping them with the right tools and providing them technical business know-how.

Building a niche within a highly competitive market is a daunting task, especially for entrepreneurs who have just started growing their own businesses. Going digital to reach a wider audience is one solution. But that also comes with difficulties. Building an online presence remains a huge barrier for start-ups. Once they have a digital presence, maintaining it becomes a costly endeavor.

With the signed deal and partnership, Go Negosyo, together with HP Philippines, represented by its managing director Pallasena Viswanath, agreed to extend support to the micro, small, and medium Filipino enterprises — the key drivers of the country’s economy.
