CEBU, Philippines — THREE drug suspects, including a high-value target, were arrested by the police during a buy-bust operation Sunday in Taboan, Barangay San Nicolas Proper, Cebu City.

Police identified the suspects as Oniel Llatona, 22, a resident of Sitio Urasi, Barangay Sambag I, Cebu City; Fernando Alilin Lariosa, 48, a resident of B. Aranas, Barangay San Nicolas Proper; and Adrian Ducay Adolfo, 18, a resident of Sitio San Vicente, Barangay Duljo-Fatoma, Cebu City.

Seized from the suspects were several packs of shabu weighing 30.12 grams with an estimated value of P204,816 and a caliber .45 pistol.

The operation, led by Major Francis Renz Talosig, chief of the Pasil Police Station, was part of the continuing campaign against all forms of criminalities dubbed as the Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO).

Talosig said Llatona was identified as a high-value individual while his companions were considered street level pushers. It was Llatona who transacted to undercover police operatives during the buy-bust operation.

Police recovered from him the P200 buy-bust money and several packs of shabu. An STI caliber .45 executive pistol was also seized from his possession. All the confiscated evidence were submitted to the Regional Crime Laboratory Office 7 for examination while the suspects are currently detained at Pasil Police Station while charges are being prepared.

The suspects will face charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive

Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 while additional case for violation of RA 10591, known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act will be filed against Llatona. — (FREEMAN)
