3 ‘scammed’ couples file complaints vs wedding coordinator
CEBU, Philippines — Three couples who were allegedly scammed by a wedding coordinator sought the help of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Central Visayas.
The couples from Cebu, who lost around half million pesos to Jayson “Jhaycie” Villasan Saramosing, filed a complaint against the coordinator before NBI-7 yesterday.
NBI-7 Regional Director Attorney Rennan Oliva, said the couples sought the agency’s help following the disappearance of Saramosing.
He said Saramosing can no longer be contacted after the couples paid him.
One couple paid the coordinator around P200,000 in cash.
“But apparently after paying atong tawhana, nawala na,di na nila ma-contact nya the last time that they were able to talk to that person,80 percent na kuno ang preparation sa wedding,”said Oliva.
He said his office will track down Saramosing.
“We will try to locate him kung asa na sya ron and he will be summoned to explain his side,” said Oliva.
Oliva warned that charges will be filed against the coordinator if he will not coordinate with the agency.
One of the couples said the coordinator contacted them last Tuesday, asking for forgiveness.
The coordinator also promised to return the amount they paid, the couple added.
The couple said they tried contacting the coordinator anew, but failed.
“Nangayog pasaylo ra,mao ra then hangtod karon wala nay communication gyud,tinud-on na gyud ni namo file ang kaso,” the couple said. —KQD (FREEMAN)
