City Hall finds 593 firms without business permits

CEBU, Philippines —  After over a month of investigation and inspection, a City Hall task force found 593 business establishments operating without permits.

Melvin Bacalso, head of the Task Force on Inspection and Investigation of Business Permits, said 19 establishments were already closed, 17 closure orders are up for signing while the rest of the permit violators were issued show cause order. 

"Ma-close gyud ang mga businesses nga walay business permit kay wala pod na sila nagbayad og buhis sa syudad," he told The Freeman.  (FREEMAN)
