LBC outlet robbed for third time

Flor Z. Perolina - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - For the third time, the LBC outlet in Highway Tabok, Mandaue City was robbed around 11:20 a.m. yesterday by two motorcycle-riding men who took away P5,000 from the establishment.

PO3 Heracleo Gamboa of Basak Police Station said that the robbery was done in just two minutes.

One of the robbers, who wore a black jacket, checkered short pants and a helmet, entered the establishment and pretended to be customer.

When the second robber, also wearing a full face helmet, entered the establishment, the one inside immediately took a .45 cal. pistol from his waist and opened fire.

His companion then instructed the establishment’s staff and a customer to sit down as he took the P5,000 from the counter.

The robbers then rushed to their motorcycle parked outside and fled towards north.

The outlet was first robbed on May 5 last year by two armed men who took its P10,000 earnings and cellular phones.

The second robbery took place on September 9 and two men were arrested for carting away P5,000 from the establishment.— (FREEMAN)
