CCCI opens nomination for 2024 BOT Elections

The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) proudly announces the commencement of the nomination process for its members poised to become the torchbearers of Cebu’s economic progress. The elected trustees will dedicate the next two years, beginning March 1, 2024, to fervently advocate and steer their respective sectors to further the interest of the business community. The deadline for nominations is set for December 19, 2023.

In this election, 11 seats are available across key sectors: three (3) for industry, two (2) for trade, four (4) for service, and one (1) for the sectoral and ICT industry, respectively.

CCCI, a distinguished business membership organization with over 800 members, has established rigorous guidelines for nominations. Candidates must align with the Chamber’s vision for a robust and vibrant Cebu, translating overarching goals into tangible actions for economic growth.

Elected trustees are expected to carry out the responsibility of translating the Chamber’s vision and mission.  Nominees must be official representatives of a bona fide Cebu Chamber member in good standing for at least one (1) year on nomination date. Must be of good moral character, must come from sector he is nominated, and not be disqualified from holding position of the trustee under any provision of the CCCI by-laws.

Moreover, Nominees must not be an officer or trustee of any chambers of similar interest or companies that may have current or future conflict of interest with CCCI advocacies. Nominees for sectoral associations must be the president or immediate past president of the association which he or she is affiliated.

Self-nomination is allowed but one cannot nominate more than the available seats per sector.

Deadline for submission is December 19, 2023
