Van Sickle back in practice for Nxled

MANILA, Philippines — The Nxled Chameleons, fresh from their best finish in franchise history at second in the PVL Invitational early this month, will come into the All-Filipino Conference unfurling next month with one piece of good news — Brooke Van Sickle is back.
The three-time Most Valuable Player reported for practice last Monday after missing in action in the last two conferences early this year due to a right shoulder issues.
“Brooke has gotten the green light and she has already started to attend practice,” Nxled coach Ettore Guidetti recently told The STAR.
The Italian bench tactician said Van Sickle is near full strength and her return is a welcome sight for a franchise just coming off a second-place effort behind eventual winner Est Cola of Thailand in the Invitational.
“It’s not something that would give us a nightmare,” said Guidetti on Van Sickle’s spiking right shoulder that got hurt and led to her absence.
Van Sickle should also be the last piece of the puzzle for Nxled as it eyes its breakthrough championship.
“All the teams are really good but we will fight with each and every one of them,” said Guidetti.
