Highrisers acquire Gentapa

MANILA, Philippines — Galeries Tower picked up many-time NCAA champion Jade Gentapa yesterday with hopes of a breakthrough Premier Volleyball League performance this season.

Gentapa last played for ZUS Coffee. Her move to Galeries Tower should give the Highrisers additional firepower and experience as the franchise aims at improving on its eighth-place finish in the All-Filipino Conference.

She will reunite with Gayle Pascual, her former teammate at College of St. Benilde where they were part of the team that won a five-peat feat.

Galeries Tower earlier exercised its top rookie pick this year on talented National U star Camilla Lamina, a two-time best setter and three-time champion in the UAAP.
