Remulla named Paris Games CDM

MANILA, Philippines — Cavite Gov. Jonvic Remulla will take the place of Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas president Al Panlilio as the country’s chef-de-mission to next year’s Paris Olympics.

Remulla was handed the important task yesterday by Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Abraham Tolentino, and will immediately fill the vacuum left by Panlilio, who begged off due to his busy schedule at SBP and PLDT and Smart where he is CEO.

The 55-year-old Remulla is a sportsman himself, being the honorary chairman of the national rowing association and team manager of the University of the Philippines men’s basketball squad.
