Fernandez overall champ in CJH Chairman’s Cup
MANILA, Philippines — Tony Fernandez fired 40 points under the Stableford format to emerge as the overall champion of the 2023 Chairman’s Charity Cup at the Camp John Hay Golf Club in Baguio City.
Steve Paatan scored 43 while Nestor Fongwan turned in a 45 to join Fernandez in the winners’ circle in the annual tournament in honor of club chairman Robert John Sobrepeña.
Thirdy Escaño, meanwhile, signed for a 61 under the Systems 36 format to claim the sponsors division crown over Paulo Saycon (66) and Christian Villareal (67).
The division champions of the two-day event, sponsored by The Manor and Forest Lodge at Camp John Hay and Le Chef, were Moon Wan Sang (Seniors 1), Panopio Raymundo (Seniors 2), Oh Kyung Ja (Ladies 1), Jung Soon Jung (Ladies 2) and Steven Karl Gengos (Dependents).
CJH Dev. Co., Golforce, Toyota, Pugad, Emirates, J-Ten and Absolute Advantage were among the sponsors.
