LPC anniversary derby all set
MANILA, Philippines — With four weeks to go, the stage is set for the 30th LPC Anniversary 5-Stag Derby at the Las Piñas Coliseum on Sept. 10, 12 and 15.
The easy 5-stag format (guaranteed prize of P850,000 and entry fee of P11,000), will allow unknown cockers to join this three-day stagfest to be hosted by Las Piñas Mayor Nene Aguilar.
Elimination rounds (2 -stag) are set Sept. 10 and 12, culminating with the 3-stag finals on Sept. 15.The breakdown of prizes: champion P500,000; any four points P280,000; handler P50,000 and gaffer P20,000.
Only locally-banded stags of associations belonging to the International Federation of Gamefowl Breeders (FIGBA -Bakbakan) and Pambansang Federation Ng Gamefowl Breeders, Inc. (PFGB,Inc – Digmaan) will be accepted (weight limits of 1.7 kgs. to 2.150 kgs.).
The first stagfest of LPC happens on Aug. 29 via the BNTV 9-Stag Derby finals featuring at least 100 fights.
Participants mostly from Cavite with 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 and four points will compete, according to host Joey Sy.
