MANILA, Philippines — Smart bucked the absence of three players to score a 25-21, 25-19, 25-18 drubbing of skidding Foton and notch its first back-to-back wins in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference yesterday at Bacoor Strike Gym.

With starting setter Jasmine Nabor and middle blockers Celine Domingo and Czarina Carandang unavailable for duty due to academic matters, captain Aiko Urdas (18 points), Grethcel Soltones (13 hits, 13 excellent receptions) and Jerrili Malabanan (12 markers and 10 digs)) doubled the effort and took charge in leading the Giga Hitters to their second straight win for 4-5 overall.

Mina Aganon punched in 12 plus eight excellent receptions while Carla Sandoval added 10 for the injury-hit Tornadoes (5-4), who suffered their third consecutive setback.

Meanwhile, F2 Logistics leaned on team effort to outplay error-plagued Cignal HD, 25-22, 23-25, 25-14, 25-17, and extend its streak to five.
