MANILA, Philippines — If his schedule permits, Floyd Mayweather Jr. may get to visit Manny Pacquiao in General Santos City while the Filipino boxer trains for his world title fight against Lucas Matthysse in July.

Mayweather, the undefeated boxing icon, was scheduled to arrive in Manila late last night from Bangkok, accompanied by members of The Money Team, a couple of them Filipinos, including a female assistant named Kitchie.

One of those accompanying Mayweather told The STAR that if schedule would allow, Mayweather may go to Pacquiao’s hometown.

Pacquiao had been informed of Mayweather’s Manila visit.

From Bangkok, Mayweather said he can’t wait to “embrace Filipino boxing fans” and see the country.

“I have heard and seen on TV how beautiful the Philippines is and I can’t wait to see for myself the natural wonders and beauty of your country,” Mayweather said.

“I am looking forward for some relaxation, time with family and friends and experience how you guys throw a party for the Money Team,” said the boxer, who faced and defeated Pacquiao almost exactly three years ago in boxing’s biggest fight ever.

Mayweather is scheduled to grace an affair today at Cove Manila, a $120 million party place, a luxurious beach club and nightclub at Okada Manila.

The Miss Universe beauties, past and present, will also grace the affair, including 2015 winner Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines and reigning titlist Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa.

Those in charge of the rare visit are rolling the red carpet for the 41-year-old super athlete.

High-end vehicles, including a Rolls Royce sedan and a white limousine, are being adorned with the patented TMT logos, for the use of the richest athlete in history.

Mayweather will arrive on his private plane, the same one that took him to recent trips to Dubai, Singapore, Bali and then Bangkok.

As of presstime, Mayweather remained in the Thai capital, posting a video showing himself checking out the most exotic food like roasted centipede, spiders, bugs and scorpions.
