Que stays in hunt with 69

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Angelo Que birdied No. 18 at resumption of his weather-delayed first round and shot a four-under 67 then followed it up with a 69 to stay within three shots off new leader Seungsu Han of the US halfway through the Singapore Open at the Sentosa Golf Club’s Serapong course yesterday.

Que hit four birdies against two bogeys in tough condition to pool a 36-hole 136, moving to joint fourth heading to the weekend play of the $1 million event where he tied for 38th last year.

Miguel Tabuena, who shot a solid 68 Thursday, birdied three of the last four holes to rebound from a poor start and turn in a 69 and likewise remain in contention at joint sixth at 137.

Han put in a 67 to grab the lead at 133, two strokes ahead of former world No. 1 Adam Scott, who also shot a 67, for 135.
