NBA Roundup: Warriors beat Mavericks, 104- 89

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Stephen Curry had 22 points and seven assists, Klay Thompson scored 16 points and Golden State beat Dallas.

Curry wasn't as dominant as he was earlier this year when he scored a season-high 51 points against the Mavericks, but Golden State's All-Star point guard scored 16 points in the first half when the Warriors began to pull away and finished with five of his team's 11 3-pointers. The West-leading Warriors have won 48 games in back-to-back seasons for only the second time in franchise history.

Rajon Rondo had 14 points and six assists for Dallas.

HAWKS 106, CAVALIERS 97

ATLANTA (AP) — Al Horford scored 19 points and Kyle Korver hit two big 3-pointers in the fourth quarter after struggling much of the night, leading the Atlanta Hawks to a 106-97 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night in a game could be a preview of what's to come in the playoffs.

LeBron James and the Cavaliers entered the season as the overwhelming favorite in the Eastern Conference, but the Hawks (49-12) are running away in the standings. They won their sixth in a row and for the 42nd time in the last 48 games.

Clearly inspired on night when Hall of Famer and former Hawks star Dominique Wilkins was honored by the team, Atlanta got plenty of balance and showed again it might be capable of doing something that never happened during No. 21's brilliant career — win a championship.

James was held to 18 points on 5-of-13 shooting.

ROCKETS 103, PISTONS 93

HOUSTON (AP) — James Harden had 38 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists for his third triple-double this season Houston beat Detroit to snap a two-game skid.

Harden has 27 30-point games this season.

Greg Monroe had 19 points for Detroit. The Pistons have lost five in a row.

PACERS 98, BULLS 84

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Solomon Hill scored 16 points and Ian Mahinmi had a season-high 14 points in Indiana's victory over Chicago.

The Pacers have won a season-high four straight to get back into playoff contention.

Pau Gasol led Chicago with 18 points.

GRIZZLIES 97, LAKERS 90

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Zach Randolph had 24 points and 13 rebounds, Marc Gasol scored nine of his 18 points in the fourth quarter and Memphis rallied to beat Los Angeles.

The Lakers held an 87-84 lead with three minutes left before Memphis closed the game on a 13-3 run, including seven straight to start the rally.

Jordan Clarkson had a career-high 25 points for the Lakers.

SPURS 120, NUGGETS 111

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Kawhi Leonard had 25 points and Tony Parker added 24 to help San Antonio beat Denver for its fourth straight victory.

Tim Duncan added 15 points for San Antonio, The Spurs have won 11 of their past 12 home games. They are seventh in the Western Conference, 4 1/2 games ahead of Oklahoma City and a game behind Dallas.

Ty Lawson led Denver with 23 points.

HORNETS 103, RAPTORS 94

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Al Jefferson had 23 points and 13 rebounds and Charlotte beat Toronto in a game that had six technical fouls.

Mo Williams added 23 points, and Lance Stephenson had 11 points and eight rebounds to help Charlotte win its fourth straight.

DeMar DeRozan had 30 points on 14-of-26 shooting for Toronto. Kyle Lowry scored 25 points after missing three games with nagging injuries and fatigue. The Raptors have lost seven of eight.

CELTICS 104, PELICANS 98

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Isaiah Thomas scored 14 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter and Boston beat New Orleans for its fifth victory in seven games.

Louisiana native and former LSU star Brandon Bass added 17 points and Evan Turner had 14 for Boston. The Celtics hit 10 3-pointers on 23 attempts.

Anthony Davis had 29 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks for New Orleans, which lost for just the second time in eight games and missed an opportunity to pull into a tie with Oklahoma City for the last playoff spot in the Western Conference.

SUNS 108, NETS 100, OT

NEW YORK (AP) — Marcus Morris made the tiebreaking basket and scored 19 points, twin brother Markieff Morris and Eric Bledsoe also had 19, and Phoenix beat Brooklyn.

Brandon Knight shook off a poor shooting night to make two baskets in overtime for the Suns, who flirted withNBA infamy by missing their first 21 3-point attempts and trailed by 15 points midway through the fourth quarter. They were down by nine with about 4 minutes to play, but shut Brooklyn out for the remainder of regulation, then took the lead for good at 102-100 on Marcus Morris' basket with 1:30 to go.

Knight made the insurance basket with 17.5 seconds left as Phoenix improved to 2-4 in overtime after dropping its first four. Brook Lopez had 19 points and 13 rebounds for the Nets.

MAGIC 119, KINGS 114

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Victor Oladipo had 32 points, 10 assists and five steals and Orlando held on to beat Sacramento.

Channing Frye added 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Elfrid Payton had 10 points and 12 assists to help the Magic snap a four-game losing streak.

Rudy Gay led the Kings with 39 points — his third 30-point game of the season. DeMarcus Cousins added 29 points and 12 rebounds.

WIZARDS 99, HEAT 97

WASHINGTON (AP) — Nene scored 20 points, Marcin Gorat added 14 points and 17 rebounds and Washington blew all but one point of a 35-point lead before holding off short-handed Miami.

Bradley Beal added 17 points for the Wizards, 2-7 in their last nine games.

Miami played without starters Dwyane Wade (sore right hip) and Luol Deng (right thigh contusion). Goran Dragic had 18 points, but left the game after a hard fall late in the third quarter.

JAZZ 89, 76ERS 83

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Gordon Hayward scored 25 points to lead Utah past Philadelphia.

Derrick Favors had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Utah. The Jazz have won eight of 11.

Isaiah Canaan scored 16 points for the 76ers. They have the second-worst record in the NBA at 13-49.
