MANILA, Philippines - Streaking Fruitas shoots for its fourth straight victory as it tangles with Cebuana Lhuillier even as defending champion NLEX faces Boracay Rum in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the JCSGO gym in Cubao, QC.

The Shakers actually hope to shake off a long 13-day layoff when they take on the resurgent Rising Suns at 2 p.m. with coach Nash Racela confident of his wards chances’ to extend their run and stay ahead of pack gearing up for positioning heading to the playoffs.

“The last two games were really tough for us. This one (against Cagayan) should be another challenge considering they’re coming off back-to-back wins,” said Racela.

NLEX, meanwhile, tries to improve its 1-2 card against Boracay Rum (3-2) at 12 noon while Café France guns for a share of second with Blackwater against EA Regen Med at 4 p.m.

After losing their first game in overtime to the Elite, the Rising Suns swept their next two games against Informatics (0-4) and Jumbo Plastic (1-4) to stay within sight of the leaders.
