Gasca handa na para sa Pinoy Pride

MANILA, Philippines - Sa nalalapit na Pinoy Pride XXII, muling ipapa-kita ng 24-anyos na si Roli Gasca (20-4-1; 5 KOs) ang kanyang world-class talent.

Bilang dating OPBF Super-bantamweight champion, tatlong buwan lamang naisuot ni Gasca ang kanyang korona bago ito inagaw ni Japanese fighter Yukinori Oguni (11-1) noong 2011 sa Japan.

Matapos ito ay muling nabigo si Gasca sa isang international bout para sa IBO world title kontra kay Alexander Bakhtin (31-0) noong 2012 sa Moscow, Russia.

Nagbalik si Gasca nang igupo si Jimmy Aducal via unanimous decision sa main event ng isang ALA-Cobra match ngayong taon.

“Gasca is a fighter who shows a lot of talent and a high I.Q inside the ring. We still believe that he has the potential to be a world title challenger in the future,” sabi ni ALA Promotions President and CEO Michael Aldeguer.

Lalabanan ni Gasca sa Oktubre 26 si southpaw Indonesian Lande Olin (11-4) sa undercard ng Servania vs. Concepcion WBO Inter-continental Super Bantamweight title fight.

Sa nasabi ring card ay mapapanood sina Mark Vincent ‘Machete’ Bernaldez (11-0; 7 KOs) at Jessel Mark ‘Magnifico’ Magsayo (3-0; 2 KOs).

Lalabanan ni Bernaldez si Khunkiri Wor Wisaruth (10-5-1) ng Thailand at haharapin ni Magsayo si Hagibis Quinones (3-10-1).

“Yes (it will be a confidence booster), definitely for both of them. These fights will dictate [Gasca at Bernaldez’] respective careers,” wika ni Aldeguer. “Gasca has to get his credi-bility back and for Bernaldez it is to prove that he has what it takes to headline an Idol card and be the next big name in the future”, dagdag pa nito.

Ang laban ay nakatakda sa Oktubre 26 sa Waterfront Hotel and Casino, Cebu City at mapapanood sa ABS CBN Channel 2 sa ganap na alas-10 ng umaga at sa Studio 23 sa alas-6 ng gabi sa Linggo.
