Long, Dagul at Gene, idineklarang persona non grata

Naglabas na ng petisyon si Ilocos Sur Governor Ryan Luis Singson upang ideklarang persona non grata ang status ng mga komedyanteng sina Long Mejia, Dagul at Gene Padilla.

Ayon sa mga naunang report, ginawa ng tatlo ang, “awful disregard of the existing quarantine rules of the provincial Government.”

Sa statement na inilabas ni Gov. Singson, umayaw umano ang tatlo na sumailalim sa checkpoint at protocols at nagpakita pa ng, “arrogance and impoliteness that should not be tolerated.”

Bahagi ng petisyon ng gobernador na inilabas sa statemement, “I, therefore, call upon the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to currently pass a Resolution declaring Long Mejia, Dagul Pastrana, and Gene Padilla persona non grata in Ilocos Sur.

“Their gesture is really a disappointment  undermining the police power of the LGU in the implementation of quarantine protocols during the time of pandemic.

“These people are personalities of the show business with broad patronage, which should all the more be the reason that they take it upon themselves to comply with the existing rules in a place they visit.”

As of this writing, wala pang tugon sina Long, Dagul at Gene sa pahayag ni Gov. Ryan Luis.
