Toyota showcases Hybrid X at 3rd Philippine International Motorshow

MANILA, Philippines - Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) once again participated at the Philippine International Motorshow (PIMS) organized by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI).

Toyota’s booth showcased the Hybrid X concept car as well as the Environment Eco Touch Panel, an interactive simulator which illustrated how hybrid technology works. Also on display were the newly introduced flagship minivan, the Alphard, the locally manufactured Vios and Innova models, and the country’s first commercially available hybrid vehicle, the Prius. Toyota also unveiled the refreshed version of the top-selling compact sedan in the market, the New Corolla Altis. Now on its third year, the PIMS organized by CAMPI, showcased a host of new products and concept cars following the theme, “Drive the Green Road”. As the leading automotive manufacturer in the industry, Toyota featured test drive, accessories booth, as well as daily entertainment for visitors.

Hybrid X Concept Car

The Hybrid X rewrites the design rule book for hybrid models with creative solutions that would become the norm for future hybrid designs. Engineered to provide a multi-sensory experience, the futuristic exterior shape offers a clear and visionary insight to the interior. Interactive navigation, driving information and comfort control allow complete driver control at the touch of a screen. The Hybrid X provided a peek into the future and the new face of sustainable mobility.

Eco And Environmental Touch Panel

The Eco and Environmental Touch Panel featured animated presentations for Plug-in Hybrid, Electric Vehicle (EV), and Fuel Cell Hybrid Vehicle (FCHV). The graphic display contained essential information, combined with an interactive touch-screen interface that illustrated Toyota’s vision for environmental technology.

New Corolla Altis

Toyota broke new grounds with the introduction of the new Corolla Altis. Featuring a sophisticated yet aggressive design, the new Corolla creates a more dynamic image with its chrome grille bar-type design, smoke headlamps, and rear combination lamps, accentuated by its sculptured, flowing lines. Under the bonnet, it boasts of a 2.0L dual VVT-i engine mated to a newly-adapted Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) which provides an optimal balance between performance, efficiency and exhaust emissions. It also offers higher horsepower rating, further boosting engine output. Its cutting edge technology and upscale features reinforce its stature as a class-leading quality, compact sedan.

Alphard

Welcome the freshest addition to the Toyota model line-up – the Alphard. Toyota’s premium minivan presents a balanced combination of different elements fitting for a flagship vehicle.
