write way

Enchanting tails

Realize your childhood dreams and explore the world of mermaids and mermen at Crimson Hotel until May 16, Mondays to Fridays. Learn the proper strokes, breathing and maneuvering through the water with a fish tail as coached by the Philippine Mermaid Swimming Academy. 

Grant Tail Mermaid swimming class package includes two-hour mermaid class per day for one child/adult for five consecutive days, plus overnight stay in a deluxe room with buffet breakfast for two.

Comics summer

Learn the basics of comic book writing and ullustrating at Lopez Museum’s “Youthsome Yarns to Yearn For: The BLTX Summer Komix Workshop” on May 8, 9, 13 and 14 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The workshop for teens and adults consists of lectures and discussions about the comic book form, as well as writing and drawing exercises facilitated by writer-artist Josel Nicolas and critic Adam David. Play

with clay

Learn to make handmade figurines and functional objects in a hands-on workshop inspired by the works of National Artist Napoleon Abueva. Open to kids aged 7-11, on May 3 and 7, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Workshop will be facilitated by Jezzel Wee of the College of Fine Arts Ceramics Studio.

Art workshop

Renowned visual artist Fernando Sena will conduct a summer art workshop at the ASEAN Hall, G.T. Toyota Asian Cultural Center for children, youth and adults who want to learn drawing and painting using different media.

Workshop schedule as follows: May 5 (Monday), 9 to 11:30 a.m. or Wednesdays, April 30, May 7, 14, 21, 24, 28 from 2:30 to 5 p.m.
