‘A good game of hockey’

The ever innovative CWC International Corp. recently came up with the Aeron Hockey Manila tournament — where players sat on Herman Miller’s famed Aeron chairs and played a good game of hockey.

The closing ceremony and prize presentation were held at the CWC Interiors in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The event also served as the launch party for the re-mastered Aeron chair, one of Herman Miller’s best-sellers.

Seen participating in the play-offs were athletic employees from different corporations whose competitive sides were truly unleashed by the fun new sport.

Led by CWC International Corp. president Fred Yuson with Herman Miller Asia Pacific VP Kartik Shethia and Southeast Asia sales director Alex Say, the tournament was a resounding success. Thanks to the very passionate teams and players, and of course, the re-mastered Aeron chair.

A soirée for Salome

Your columnist had a wonderful time hosting an elegant gathering for the always fashionable Salome Uy.

Escorted by her loving husband Ali and surrounded by loyal friends, the trendy businesswoman attended a sumptuous dinner at Lung Hin in Marco Polo Ortigas, Pasig City, organized in her honor.

I have enjoyed her and Ali’s friendship for years, and I look forward to many more.
