Malicious statements

MANILA, Philippines - This refers to Mr. Jarius Bondoc’s article yesterday, Jan. 30. Mr. Bondoc should be very careful in including in his column comments from his readers. Doing so gives the impression that Mr. Bondoc shares the same opinion as the reader, who wrote blatantly vicious and malicious statements against Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago.

We caution Mr. Bondoc against being an unwitting instrument of smear campaigns against Sen. Santiago. Questioning the expertise and experience of Sen. Santiago as senator-judge of the impeachment court belittles her extensive experience as RTC judge and her recent election as judge of the International Criminal Court.
