Erroneous attribution

MANILA, Philippines - This refers to the article published in the Philippine STAR, page 15 under the title “Search for Truth” dated July 5, 2011, and I quote:

MORE ASSESSMENTS:

Sterling Blanco, Laoag City Police Chief, showed weakness in handling the Luneta Hostage Crisis;

Please be informed that the above quote was erroneously attributed to me, but I was never a respondent to a survey nor interviewed by any media outfit. The good former Senator might have acquired/read from other media publication about the report that was attributed to me. It was actually Ret. Sr. Supt. FLORENTINO DUMLAO, chief of the City Civil Security Unit of Laoag City Government who answered the questionnaire during a survey administered by the Philippine Information Agency.

The undersigned strongly demands the immediate rectification and publication of this letter and the outright result on this matter is expected.
