One of top 100 universities offers MBA in Manila

-

MANILA, Philippines - Modern times have turned the proverbial rat race into an intense battle up the corporate ladder, with each participant resorting to a variety of strategies to move one step closer to the top. But for those who choose to get ahead sooner, their keen sense urges them to fulfill certain requirements each time opportunities arise.

One efficient means of advancing one’s career is by acquiring a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), which is essentially a requirement for the progression of middle managers and top-level officers. The market today presents a diverse selection of educational institutions offering such program, but in the Philippines, only one such school offers students the advantage of earning an international master’s degree from a reputable school without having to leave the country.

The University of Western Australia’s (UWA) MBA Program is offered at the Esteban School in Taguig City. It has been running in Manila since 2002. Ranked among the top 100 universities in the world, one of the UWA’s strengths is trans-national education, which has been pioneered by Esteban School in the Philippines.

Tony Esteban, executive director of Esteban School, explained that the concept of trans-national education involves the delivery of a program offshore by international faculty. The same program taught in the UWA MBA campus in Perth is being taught here by the same professors — designed for those who seek to enhance their management capabilities.

Esteemed professors from UWA fly regularly to the Esteban School campus in Taguig to conduct lectures with students. Representatives from the Australian government also visit the school to monitor the equivalency of the education between Perth and Manila.

Based in Perth, Western Australia, the UWA Business School is accredited by EQUIS — the leading international system of quality assessment, improvement, and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration. UWA is likewise one of the prestigious members of Australia’s “Group of Eight” leading universities.

Tony meanwhile emphasized another advantage of taking the MBA degree from UWA: the course price.

“We are very competitive when it comes to price. We are definitely more affordable than taking the course abroad. Compared to other institutes here, our price is quite competitive. UWA is a top 100 university in the world, one of Australia’s most prestigious institutions, the business school is EQUIS accredited, and the MBA is in Manila.”
