This bloody year of 2023 ends with 123123

WHAT MATTERS MOST - Josephus Jimenez - The Freeman

Those who believe in the science of numerology hold the view that the rare chronological occurrence of December 23, 2023, represented by 123123, is a magical confluence of multiple forces of energies that can spell a magical transition from a bloody year of 2023 to a new year of the dragon which is 2024.

The world's feng shui experts opine that this rare sequence of 123123 carries profound numerological significance, reminding us to trust the Almighty's perfect planning and divine timing. If you add up the six numbers, the sum would be 12, and this number is considered a master number. Numerology is the ancient study of the meaning, significance, and implications of numbers and their energetic effects on our lives. Numerologists teach us that each number carries a distinct and unique vibration and can determine our life's paths, destinies, successes, challenges, strengths, and weaknesses. This field of study can be traced back to the Greek philosophers and mathematicians in the age and caliber of Pythagoras

The sum of the four numbers in 2024 is 8, which is a very powerful number according to the Chinese. And 2024 is the year of the dragon, the most desired among the 12 cycles of animal signs. But 2023 had been quite a challenging year, if we recall the deaths, murders, assassinations, kidnappings, extra-judicial killings and summary executions as well as other crimes, corruptions and anomalies. The economy has been down, disasters, both natural and man-made were quite many, and geopolitics, wars, and armed conflicts disrupted the global supply chain, and derailed the world economy. Social upheavals, political turbulence and tremors have been prevalent. 2023 was not a good year.

In the Philippines, multiple murders were committed involving both prominent men in politics and innocent, voiceless, and marginalized members of the silent and powerless "hoi polloi". The most heinous, blatant, and cavalier was the murder of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo, aged 56, on May 4, in open daylight right inside his private compound. This assassination resulted in the ouster from Congress of then incumbent congressman Arnie Teves. Who can forget the summary execution by members of the police in Navotas of an innocent 16-year-old Jemboy Baltazar on the shallow pretext of mistaken identity? There were many other so-called extra-judicial killings which were talked about but were just ignored and easily forgotten. But God and the International Court of Justice may not easily set all those aside.

Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate, Catherine Camillon was last seen on October 1, 2023. Until now, she is missing and is unaccounted for. No corpus delicti, no definitive police report. A police officer admitted that they were romantically related despite the fact that the said policeman was a married man. As of today, nothing certain has been officially reported.

There were also a number of summary executions of journalists. Three broadcasters were killed in 2023 at the very least. Juan Jumalon, age 57, in Calamba, Misamis Occidental, on November 6; Mohammad Hassan Midtimbang, very young and very promising journalist at age 32, killed on August 21 in Cotabato City; and Cresenciano Bunduquin, aged 50, on May 31 in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. What is happening to our country, General Bato?

This bloody year of 2023 is ending today, and is ending with a big bang of a number 123123. This number, according to numerologists, will put a seal to the bloody 2023, and usher in the year of the dragon, 2024. With prayers, with beliefs in the stars but with faith in the almighty, we pray and hope for a more peaceful, kinder, and happier 2024. Here's a toast to a truly blessed 2024.
