GAY MECHANIC. Tonyo a Cebuano, (not his real name), 42, worked as stevedore for 10 years in the North Harbor in Manila. A brother-in-law, a professional auto mechanic, helped him obtain a Tesda training in automotive to assist him in his auto repair shop in Pasay.

EXPERT. Tony, a self-confessed gay, later became part owner of his brod's repair shop. Five years ago with the help of his trainor in Tesda he was able to land a job as expert auto mechanic in a US military base in Japan where no one ever knew -- even until now -- that he is a card bearing member of the LGBT in Metro Manila.
