Abandoned books

THE EAR - The Freeman

BOOKS. A teacher in a southern town has a cousin in the US who has been sending her books, fiction and non-fiction, which she has never gotten hold of. Why? “Mahal man gud ang plite sa bus,” she told an Ear informer. “Unya daghan pasikot-sikot una ihatag ang mga libro.”

ABANDONED. She abandoned the books. A fellow teacher got interested in the books and could have them if she wanted. But then, she was to pay a certain amount for storage. “Ah, ayaw na lang oi. Pabayron pa man diay ta,” she said. Now what happened to the books? Our Ear informer could only say: “Ambot oi.”
